THE END

This will be the last post on Loving Intergenerational Living.  The site looks fabulous (thank you again, Linda, of My Fairy Blog Mother).  This concept has become very popular since the pandemic.  So many countries have been doing this for years.

My feeble brain is just too lazy to keep it going.  I have to log out of ALL my Google accounts (four), then log in with this new one.  When I think of a topic, it's difficult to decide which blog is the better platform.

I will simply continue with Awkward Widow and you will have to not read all the grand boy topics if you are not interested!

Thanks to everyone who participated.

THE JOYS OF BOYS

This blog will not be in any semblance of chronological order.  I get so side tracked looking through my 30,000 digital photos to find a few to add to my blog that I've spent HOURS traveling down memory lane and no blogging at all!

These boys are 3.5 years apart but act like twins.  They play together so well, even during the 2020 lock down.  They help each other with school work (little one is good at math, big one is good at teaching him reading!)  They share their Legos (how do they even know what belongs to whom?  There are 8 million of them!  They giggle and have secrets and push their beds together at night (trundle)

They LOVE online school.

They come visit Gramma every morning.  (The three of us doing our online fun in bed)

They think they look like this:

They love getting dirty and messy and play outdoors EVERY day, sun, rain, snow

Anything camo or military is definitely their idea of fun!  Especially GI Joe.  Parents have them clean their own toys after a day of battle.

Big brother rewarded his little brother with a spa bath.

Fortunately, at 10 and 7, they still enjoy playing with their stuffed animals.

They have quite the "manly" collection ... Big Foot, crocodiles, spiders, penguins, horses, bears, etc.

BOSKO GOT HIS WINGS

Enjoy your new life, Bosko man!  June 8, 2021,

Our family rescue dog, Bosko, is almost 17.  Kate adopted him for Jesse in 2005 and he was their only baby for many years.

We never had him tested but he looks a bit like a pit and had a personality of a lab.  She worked at a doggie day care and training facility and gosh was he such a GOOD boy.  He could be in the middle of a football field eating a T-bone steak and if they would call "drop it" and "come" he would.  He could play dead with the point of a finger gun.  He could circle and rewind.  And just full of love.

That dog went with them every where.  The parents both have severe social anxiety and their doctor wrote a prescription that he was a therapy dog.  He was so well behaved that they should have had him certified.

Before Braeden and Deacon came along, he loved playing with his girl cousins.  He was so patient with any and all children.

They didn't care he was a boy dog!  They knew he loved jewelry

He loved swimming .... not so sure about being buried in the sand!

Such a proud stance!  Mr. Ralph and I babysat him a lot
and I think they will be glad to see each other again

He helped raise two boys (now 10 and 7) and this house will be too quiet from now on.  Tap tap tapping of toenails on the hard wood floor.  We will have to vacuum under the table a lot more.

Good bye and good luck, Bosko man!

THREE GENERATIONS

Maybe you were intrigued from my recent post on Awkward Widow. After 8 years, I've progressed from Awkward Widow to enjoying my intergenerational life with my daughter, her hubby and two camo addicted little boys.  My Awkward Widow blog has morphed Loving Intergenerational Living, my favorite (and most expensive) hobby ... being a Gramma!

Luckily for me, two other bloggers passed on a GREAT tip for getting a better working blog, My Fairy Blog Mother (https://www.myfairyblogmother.com/).  She is affordable and very easy to work with.  She does all the technical stuff so all I have to do is blog!  Let me know if this set up is easy to read.

It seems like the pandemic has increased the number of multigenerational living households, especially in the USA. Other countries have already figured out the win/win of living with family ... the biggest win is for the grandparents.

Awkward Widow will remain active, probably weekly, and hopefully you'll pop in to visit the old blog, Awkward Widow
